AccuStrata’s solution for reducing the cost of precision optics thin film coatings is focused on reducing the NRE costs and improving production yield on a daily basis. The customer does not need to design the coating prior to deposition and does not need to “reherse” the deposition process in order to troubleshoot and fix the recipe. AccuStrata’s control system requires only the coating specification and does everyithing else automatically. It is able to design the multi-layer thin film coating on-the-fly from the existing deposition materials, adjust the physical properties of the layers as they are being made and continuously and adaptively correct its own design during the deposition process in order to automatically achieve the intended coating specification.

AccuStrata’s platform technology takes advantage of it’s patented miniature fiber optics sensors installed in multiple spots inside the deposition chamber and monitoring each deposited substrate or multiple substrates simultaneously. The technology makes the deposition of coatings on complex surfaces (such as aspherical surfaces or different shapes) feasible. Complex multilayer coatings, coatings with modulated thickness and rugate filters are deposited faster and with excellent manufacturing yield.
