Our Technology
accustrata > our technology

AccuStrata’s platform technology consists of intelligent, in-situ, real-time optical monitoring and thin film process control systems and know-how, used to adaptively optimize physical properties, uniformity, surface texturing and deposition processes as films are being deposited. The control system consists of patented miniature fiber optics sensors installed inside the customer’s thin film deposition reactor, hardware modules, and intelligent software located on the local terminals and remote servers (on the cloud).  The real-time feedback and automation ensures tighter distribution functions and maximum yields at highest efficiency for a given manufacturing process reducing waste of energy, materials and labor, thus reducing total product cost. Our technology is applicable to variety of thin film technologies.

AccuStrata’s method of simultaneous real-time thin film design, optical monitoring and adaptive control of the deposition process is unique due to the following:

  • In chamber placement of patented miniature fiber optics sensors providing real-time optical monitoring in close proximity to the surface of the film being deposited.
  • Real-time measurement of total reflectance from the deposited surface.
  • Characterization of physical parameters and their uniformity as the film grows at multiple locations (spots) on the substrate or multiple substrates simultaneously.
  •  Intelligent data mining, adaptive learning and reasoning to automatically achieve coating specification in spite of natural fluctuations and drifts in the process.
  • Achieve coating specification by constant real-time adjustment of the coating recipe, versus traditional approach of adhering to the initial coating recipe.
